Bark in the Park

PEDIGREE® 2010 BARK IN PARK PRESENTED BY FOOD LION, APRIL 24, 10am-4pm: Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation invites “dogs and people they own” to join the fun again this year at Metrolina Expo, 7100 Statesville Road (off exit 16 of I-77 at Sunset Road). Bark in the Park drew an estimated 14,500 people last year, most with dogs. Metrolina Expo, the old fair grounds, has plenty of easy and FREE parking, and received many plaudits last year. It is a great location. Admission is FREE. This festival has become too large for a park! So plan now to let your dog bring you. Enter dog contests like Best Costume, Best Bark, Largest Dog, Smallest Dog, Best Trick, Throw and Catch, and Disc Long-Shot Catch. Register for these events at the festival. Watch the Pooch Parade of Adoptable Dogs. Entertainment will be provided by Atlanta Dog Sports.

Enjoy exhibits, dog products, prize drawings and more. Great dogs to see and greet! All dogs must enter on a leash, please. For details, check www.parkandrec.com or call 311.

OWLOWEEN 2009

Welcome our new veterinarian, Dr. Melissa Long!

Beginning in July, you will start to see a new face around our clinic! Dr. Long graduated from the University of Florida in 2000, then moved to North Carolina. She has a 14-year-old lab mix named Skyler, and a 14-year-old cat named Lestat. Her veterinary interests include internal medicine (especially cats), dermatology, and behavior. When she’s not working, she enjoys hiking with her dog, reading, and traveling. We are excited to announce our newest addition and look forward to everyone meeting her!

Vetsource Home Delivery

We are pleased to announce we have recently started using a new home delivery service to make things more convenient for our clients. If you were previously using Vetcentric, you may continue to do so, or you can switch over to the new service!

The best part about the new home delivery system is that they carry Hills Science Diet Prescription Diets, so no more having to special order your Hills food through us, you can now have it shipped to you anytime you need it! To check it out just click the VetSource button on our home page or click here.

The layout is much like that of any online retailer, just browse for the product you would like to purchase, add it to your cart, and follow the steps to have it delivered right to your door! Orders over $39.00 (excluding food) qualify for free shipping, and their shipping rates on food are very reasonable! You can even set up auto-refill and they will automatically ship you your food or prescriptions at the intervals you select.

Check it out, and call Brittany if you have any questions or suggestions! 704-841-1313
