Independence Veterinary Clinic, our doctors and staff, are dedicated to the health and happiness of your pet. We offer many services to help you take the best possible care of your furry family member. We are a full service animal hospital.
Radiology
We can provide OFA radiographs, contrast studies, and abdominal ultrasonography. Some patients may require sedation/anesthesia in order to obtain quality, diagnostic radiographs.
Surgical Services
Just like people, our patients sometime need surgery. Whether its a puppy or kitten needing a routine spay/neuter or a senior needing lump removal, safety is our primary concern. Every patient is treated as if they are our own. Our doctors are very experienced and every year enhance their knowledge and skills by attending continuing education programs.
Dentistry
Our patients need their teeth taken care of just like we do. Plaque and tartar accumulate over time requiring regular teeth cleaning/polishing, scaling, tooth extractions and Oravet.
Lab
We offer in house urinalysis, parasite testing, blood chemistries, and cytology. We utilize outside laboratories for many routine tests. Many test results are available the next day.
Prescriptions
We stock our most commonly used medications. In order to serve you more efficiently, we ask that you call in requests for refills a minimum of 24 hours in advance.
We now offer Pet Selection.
We can consult with you about a new addition to your family. Which breed is best with kids? Or an apartment? What about a big back yard? Our doctors would love to answer all of those questions for you.
Yearly Exams
We recommend annual (even semi-annual) check-ups for our patients. This is a time to not only examine your pet but discuss behavioral and nutritional problems/questions with an IVC doctor.
Home Again Microchips
We are now offering Microchips and Enrollment for $54.99. By including the enrollment, we ensure that you get to take advantage of all the wonderful benefits Homeagain offers to it's members. If your pet gets lost, Homeagain will contact all the shelters and veterinary practices in your area and allow you to create a "Lost Pet" poster with your pets' photo. Local PetRescuers will be alerted and a local shelter list will be provided to you so you may check for your pet at the listed facilities. Other benefits include 24/7 emergency medical care, and lost pet medical insurance. Ask any of our staff about having your pet microchipped at your next visit!
CPR Classes
Dr. Michelle has conducted several animal CPR classes this fall. Keep checking our website for future dates, and e-mail us if you are interested in participating!
